Kathmandu

I am in Kathmandu, for the first time in my life in Nepal. Just arrived shortly after noon, from the most impersonal, business oriented airport in the world, Bangkok. When seeing the airport in Kathmandu, with mostly red brick buildings, the complete absence of gangways, the slight chaos at the luggage conveyors, and then when driving through he town with mostly low rise buildings, also mostly made from bricks, and lots of green in between, I immediately fell in love with the place. It’s somewhat transferred me back to the 1970s. I already know. I have to come here more often.
