Brought the outboard motor for changing a consumable part, the water pump impeller, to ALS Marine. Got the quotation after 2 WEEKS, 19.3k for rebuilding the carb/fuel system, change of lower oil seal, and tune up including change of spark plugs. No mention of changing the water pump rotor. Although the parts were listed for 1.9 k. One tenth of the quotation. They themselves had replaced the lower oil seals and the spark plugs two tank fillings ago. Do they think their customers are ignorant dumb asses?
