Electric Classic VWs

I think this is my next project. I just need to find a good VW Beatle, or better, a Bully T2, with broken engine would be fine and cheaper I guess, but the rest needs to be technically OK.

I wonder what the administrative process would look like to get this registered in the Philippines.

Michael: Yes, the lousiest thing about beetles and bullies has always been the engines, designed to be fuel inefficient (long gas path from carburettor to cylinders, wear from uneven cooling, low compression etc.). Poor control also of clutch due to long cable with too much elasticity. Going electric will be a funny experience. You'll hear a lot of new noises (tensions between body and chassis, wear of "Achsschenkelbolzen"...)
